Blah Blah Gallery presents our second annual juried exhibition Curtain Call, opening Friday, January 10, from 7-10pm at 907 Christian St. The exhibtion was curated by Blah Blah Director Megan Galardi and jury panelists Anaïs Cooper-Hackman and Qualesha Wood.
Curtain Call brings together 15 artists exploring memory, identity, and the performative nature of culture. The works revisit personal and collective histories, reflecting on childhood, memory, and societal norms, while critiquing and reimagining these narratives. The exhibition highlights the tension between nostalgia and discomfort, with some artists grappling with letting go, and others embracing the ambiguity of memory. Curtain Call examines the layers of personal and societal construction through diverse tactile, visual, and conceptual approaches.
